"Growing up, I was never looked at as the best player on the field when it came to youth and high school sports. Cut from the varsity lacrosse team as a freshman, not recruited by the top Division 1 schools, I wasnt "athletically gifted" with size and speed. In order to compete, I needed to out work those who were. I can remember waking up on Sundays during basketball season my senior year, in the cold of winter. My dad would take me to train with a speed coach at a local HS track. Mornings like those are what got me to where I am today. It is mornings like those on a weekly basis that still allow me to grow as a player and compete at the highest level today."
