"Growing up, I was never looked at as the best player on the field when it came to youth and high school sports. I wasnt "althetically gifted" with size and speed. In order to compete, I needed to out work those who were. I can remember waking up on Sundays during basketball season my senior year, in the cold of winter. My dad would take me to train with a speed coach at a local HS track. Mornings like those are what got me to where I am today. It is mornings like those on a weekly basis that still allow me to grow as a player and compete at the highest level today."
A commitment to CONSISTENCY in working out and being the best athlete possible has allowed Rob to take his game to new heights each year. From speed and agility to weight training, from playing basketball in NYC to golf on Long Island, Rob believes in balance to be the best player on the field. In HS Rob played golf for three years, basketball for three years and football his senior year, along with lacrosse all four years.
Growing up in Smithtown on Long Island, Rob is the middle child of three. Rob went to Smithtown High School West and took a post graduate year at Deerfield Academy, where he played both lacrosse and basketball. In June 2016, a backyard dream came true for Rob and his brother James. They played in their first game together with the New York Lizards. James had his first goal on his first shot in his first shift at midfield against the Charlotte Hounds. James graduated from the University of Virginia and now plays for the Atlanta Blaze after spending his rookie year with the Lizards.

Rob Pannell has been teaming up with Northstar Lacrosse Camps since 2009 where he worked his first as an instructor. In 2014 Rob became the lead camp director for Northstar and has helped expand to new areas. We are excited to be hosting our first camp this summer in Austin, Texas with an all-star camp staff! At our camps we focus on lacrosse instruction and the development of lacrosse IQ and skills over the course of 3 days. Our ultimate goal is for players to leave camp on their last day a smarter, more skillful player with knowledge of how to continue to improve on their own.
July 17-19, Rob Pannell and Max Seibald come to Somerset, NJ for the first time to the NJ Soccer Centers facilities. Rob and Max have been running camps together for 8 years and have a system they teach young players. In starting with the fundamentals and finishing with live drills, kids will leave camp on the third day with a higher lacrosse IQ and skill level. The kids are taught key points and a system to help self correct themselves when practicing on their own.
